Job description

Lead, coordinate, and facilitate the daily operations of their assembly area, ensuring the on-time and proper delivery of the scheduled engine volume under safe and ergonomic conditions for operators, in full compliance with standardized work, and while maintaining fair, disciplined, and motivating management of their team.

  • Floor Leader and Operator Coach: Guides, provides feedback to, and develops operators and Team Leaders, resolving friction and absenteeism while fostering teamwork.

  • Guardian of Production Pace (Throughput / Takt Time): Monitors the line flow second by second to hit the JPH target, reacting immediately to Andon alerts and bottlenecks.

  • Standardized Work Auditor: Ensures no one skips operations, alters torquing sequences, or modifies methods defined in the instruction sheets (OIS / JES).

  • First-Line Quality Containment: If an engine comes out with a torque NOK, leak, or incorrect part, halts downstream flow, secures traceability, and contains the issue before the defect reaches final testing.

  • Safe Start: Leads the daily 5-minute safety talk before kicking off the shift.

  • Ergonomics (FAS 08): Monitors proper operator rotation at high ergonomic-strain stations (preventing cumulative shoulder/wrist fatigue).

  • PPE and Conditions Inspection: Audits the use of personal protective equipment (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves) and immediately reports unsafe conditions or near misses.

  • LOTO and Protocols: Ensures operators respect safety guards and light curtains, and never intervene in machinery without Maintenance support.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business (Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Business Administration, or related field). Graduated or with proven equivalent internal experience.

  • 2 to 4+ years on the automotive manufacturing floor or in high-speed assembly (as a Team Leader, Technician, Relief Operator, or Supervisor).

  • English proficiency: B2–C1–C2
