Job Overview
This position is responsible for monitoring the systematic operations activities in SAP related to inventory movements (scrap, inventory adjustments, work order confirmations, materials transactions, etc.), and ensuring all transactions are completed in a timely manner.
A Day In The Life
- Implement regular audits and use reconciliation tools to ensure that all transfers are completed correctly.
- Review COGI records to identify and correct errors in inventory transactions.
- Audit return processes to ensure that returned materials from the production floor to the warehouse are properly recorded and stored; adjust policies as necessary to optimize inventory management.
- Perform periodic reviews of the material master to correct discrepancies and ensure information consistency.
- Analyze capture errors during manual data entry, train staff on the importance of accuracy, and implement automated controls to reduce human errors.
- Identify root causes of incomplete transactions, review system configurations, and minimize interruptions and errors.
- Ensure that all relevant processes are completed within the established deadlines for closing operations.
- Conduct audits to identify and analyze variations in cycle counts; implement corrective measures to improve count accuracy.
- Regularly audit movements to ensure they are correctly recorded and authorized, following established policies and procedures.
