Job summary

PPG is seeking a Technical Advisor to deliver technical expertise, training programs, and value-added solutions that strengthen customer relationships and support growth. You will assist senior teams, manage claims, and help implement strategic programs across channels, influencing satisfaction and service quality.

Based in Mexico, you will travel within Yucatán (Cancún and Playa del Carmen) and collaborate with marketing, operations, and content teams to deploy training and ensure QMS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or industrial engineering.
  • 1+ years in coatings, paints, or related industries.
  • Willingness to travel within the Yucatán region (Cancún, Playa del Carmen).

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior and Expert Technical Advisors in management and resolution of customer claims.
  • Coordinate implementation of product portfolio training plans with content creation and channel teams.
  • Contribute to projects by supporting integrated technical and commercial service proposals for Retail, B2B, and VDT customers.
  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to deploy programs communicating organizational priorities.
  • Support compliance with Quality Management System procedures and help implement new processes.
  • Promote the use of digital tools and new technologies across the dealer network.
  • Coordinate scheduling, inspections, calibrations, and licensing activities for technical resources.
  • Assist in maintenance and improvement of training facilities and spaces within the PPG Comex Training Center.

Job description

Join us as a Technical Advisor and help deliver technical expertise, training programs, and value-added solutions that strengthen customer relationships and support business growth.

You will support the Technical Advisor Sr. and Technical Advisor Expert teams in managing customer claims, developing training programs, and implementing strategic programs that enhance the customer experience across multiple channels and market segments. Your technical knowledge and collaborative approach will help ensure the successful execution of technical and commercial projects while promoting innovation

You will work with commercial, marketing, operations, and content creation teams to deploy training programs, communicate strategic programs, support technology adoption within the dealer network, and ensure compliance with quality management processes. Your work will directly affect customer satisfaction, service quality, and the successful implementation of our goals.

You will report to the Training department manager. You will cover the Yucatán region, including Cancún and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support Senior and Expert Technical Advisors in the management and resolution of customer claims.

  • Contribute to projects in collaboration with commercial teams by supporting integrated technical and commercial service proposals that create value for Retail, B2B, and VDT customers.
  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to deploy programs that ensure the communication of organizational priorities.
  • Support compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and help implement new processes.
  • Promote the use of digital tools and new technologies across the dealer network.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to coordinate scheduling, inspections, calibrations, and licensing activities related to technical and inspection resources.
  • Support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of training facilities, classrooms, spray booths, and other spaces within the PPG Comex Training Center.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in coatings, paints, or related industries desirable.
  • Availability to travel within the Yucatán region, including Cancún and Playa del Carmen.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (A2 level or equivalent).
