As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a sort center environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained are core functions of the role. Job Requirements:
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Can lift up to 49 pounds
Locations and placement:
- The position is NOT a remote role and will be located in a Fulfillment Center

Key job responsibilities
- You and your team of warehouse associates are responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs
- You take ownership in your work and team and are available to work overtime during Amazon’s peak holiday season and as needed year-round. You are obsessed with customer experience and understand the importance of a 24/7 operations. You are flexible to work on any type of assigned shift (nights, weekends, etc.)
- Leading and developing a team of 30-80 hourly associates by embodying Amazon’s Leadership Principles
- Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers

- 2+ year of experience in Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Solid experience managing department´s KPIs and driven results
- Experience with end-to-end project management
- Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field is a plus
- English and Spanish fluent proficiency.
- 1+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
- Management of a minimum of 30-80 employees (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment)
- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation
