As an Area Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse setting. Your primary responsibilities include motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team, ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed during shifts. You will engage with your team to maintain high standards of safety, quality, attendance, and engagement. This role provides insight into how Amazon manages its fulfillment and delivery networks.

What is Fulfillment?

Fulfillment involves completing customer orders through picking, packing, shipping, and delivering, aiming to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, manage, and develop a team of 20 to 50 Amazon Associates.
2. Communicate policies clearly and act as the primary information source, maintaining compliance and taking corrective actions when necessary.
3. Create and support recognition and communication programs.
4. Support safety initiatives and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
5. Follow procedures for building security and loss prevention.
6. Partner with management to establish quality control standards.
7. Develop performance goals to meet customer demand, ensuring accuracy and quality.

Additional Details

• This role requires working on a 4x3 or 5x2 schedule with rotations 2-3 times per year.
• Shift work during weekends, nights, and holidays is expected.
• This is an on-site position, not remote.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• At least 1 year of experience managing people
• Over 2 years of general work experience
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Proficiency in English (B2+)
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience in operations, preferably from First-Middle Mile logistics
• MBA or Lean Manufacturing Techniques certification is a plus
