NOV in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking an Applications Engineer to evaluate customer applications and process conditions to select, size, and configure pumping and grinding solutions that meet technical requirements while delivering strong commercial value.

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, sizing pumps, developing technical proposals, and collaborating with Sales, Engineering and Operations to drive successful projects and technical excellence.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Applications Engineering, Technical Sales or equipment selection in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of pumping systems, pump sizing, hydraulics or fluid handling.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with customers; able to work with Sales and Engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsabilidades

• Review customer specifications, process conditions, technical docs and commercial requirements.
• Perform pump sizing, selection and performance analysis for customer applications.
• Select appropriate pumping and grinding equipment per operating conditions and specs.
• Develop accurate technical proposals and quotations.
• Provide technical guidance to customers and Sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Interpret specifications, datasheets, drawings and other engineering docs.
• Recommend equipment configurations to optimize performance and value.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Operations to support projects.
• Assist in developing application tools, processes and engineering best practices.
• Participate in customer meetings, industry events and technical discussions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for internal processes and systems.

Job Description

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in Applications Engineering, Technical Sales, Sales Engineering, or equipment selection within an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of pumping systems, pump selection, pump sizing, hydraulics, or fluid handling.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail when preparing technical selections, documentation, and quotations.
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting directly with customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
