Cambridge University Press is hiring an Application Support Technician in Mexico City. This full-time, permanent role operates in a hybrid model with in-office days to support global systems and platforms.

You will troubleshoot issues, deliver tailored assistance to VIP clients, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly in both English and Spanish. Weekend rotation ensures continuous support across regions.

About You

You are a proactive, solutions-driven professional who excels at managing priorities while keeping customers informed. You remain composed under pressure, providing clear and simple explanations of complex technical issues. When challenges arise, you confidently reassure customers, ensuring they feel supported and understood.

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Excellent communication skills in both English (minimum B2 level, C1 preferred) and Spanish (native or near-native), with the ability to understand technical concepts and be able to explain them clearly to non-technical users.
  • Proven experience in a technical or application support role, ideally in a global or multicultural setting. Familiarity with technical documentation best practices is a plus, including writing, reviewing, updating, and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a methodical yet creative approach to resolving issues.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows environments and web-based systems.
  • Experience in training both peers and customers, with strong knowledge-sharing skills and experience developing and improving training plans and resources.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desirable, though equivalent experience in a similar role is also welcome.
