Copper Hill in Mexico City is seeking an Application Developer II responsible for independently designing, developing, and testing Copper Hill applications, and collaborating with operations and other Technology teammates to ensure tools add value.

You will translate requirements into features, participate in sprint planning, adhere to coding best practices, and may mentor junior developers.

Formación

• BS/BA in CS or relevant field.
• 2+ years experience with C# and/or Java.
• 2+ years experience with SQL and relational database design.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
• Ability to independently develop production-quality applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Angular or other modern front-end framework experience is a plus.

The Application Developer II is responsible for independently designing, developing, and testing Copper Hill applications. At Copper Hill, developers play an integral role in bringing efficiencies to the organization. Our developers integrate with operations and other Technology team members to ensure that Copper Hill tools are adding value to the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate requirements into features with minimal guidance and contribute to requirement clarification.
• Independently design, develop, and test high-quality code to complete project assignments
• Participate in sprint planning and design discussions, contributing accurate time estimates and design suggestions.
• Follow and reinforce coding best practices and patterns defined by senior developers and collaborate effectively with Developers, Product Owners, QA Specialists, and Scrum Masters.
• May support and mentor junior developers or interns.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA in Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with C# and/or Java.
• At least 2 years of experience with SQL and relational database design.
• Solid understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop production-quality applications.
• Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
