Job Description Summary
Enforces the Trade Compliance program for the organization. Ensures conformance with all legislative, regulatory, and/or accreditation requirements. Coordinates trade compliance training programs and communications as necessary.
Job Description
- To coordinate with the internal supplier the request of certificates of origin to suppliers of raw materials.
- To coordinate with the internal supplier the preparation and verification of the correct filling of USMCA Origin Certificates of raw materials and the qualification of Finished Products.
- To manage with the internal supplier the Free Trade Agreements besides USMCA.
- Perform audits to the internal supplier processes regarding USMCA creation.
- Audit of certificates of origin USMCA for suppliers that meet criteria of documentary support of rules of origin.
- Perform audits regarding the HTS classification and USMCA creation.
- To align HTS with the information with the custom broker and create new part number in Annex 24.
- Procedure maintenance and updates with the controls implemented.
- Other activities inherent to the trade compliance department related to timely compliance with the formalities required by governmental or private authorities.
- Participation in special projects aimed at ensuring proper compliance with the laws applicable in Mexico.
- Provide training of their functions if required.
- Solve problems and escalate them if needed through appropriate channels.
Required Skills And Education
- International Business, Supply Chain Management bachelor´s degree or similar.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience.
- Mexican Regulatory Trade Compliance (SAT, Customs and Ministry of Economy).
- Good problem-solving and auditing skills.
- Leadership and facilitation skills.
- Availability to travel 15%-20%.
- Project management experience.
- Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of Foreign Trade Programs: IMMEX, PROSEC, VAT/AEO Certification.
- Analytical and focused on results.
- Ability to communicate and work in a team.
- Knowledge in certifications of origin of products by international agreements.
