Your New Role:
The AR Analyst will focus on supporting the Global Consumer Products business through the collection, management, and ongoing auditing of licensee GTINs, MPNs and SKUs to support internal point-of-sale (POS) reporting. This position will be responsible for managing accounts receivable data collection and reporting in a high-volume, team-oriented environment, handling multiple invoices and titles while ensuring compliance with corporate accounts receivable and credit policies. This role involves initiating customer contact to request necessary data, following up on outstanding information, and reporting on the status of data received. In addition to data collection, the AR Analyst may perform accounts receivable analysis, conduct account reconciliations, and engage with customers to resolve open balances and secure timely payments while maintaining positive customer relationships. Analysts will communicate with customers via phone and email to gather required information and investigate the reasons behind overdue payments, reviewing terms of sale, service, or contracts as necessary. The role also includes accurately recording and maintaining data, reporting on financial status, and documenting collection efforts in the ERP system in a timely manner. The AR Analyst will provide insights and resolutions to receivable issues and contribute to the enhancement and performance of financial systems supporting accounts receivable processes. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams within the order-to-cash cycle, internal stakeholders, and customers. The AR Analyst will play a critical role in fostering an environment that upholds and reflects the Warner Bros. Discovery brand.

Your Role Accountabilities:

1. Data Management: Master Data workbook management and active coordination with category associates. Collecting, managing, and auditing licensee GTINs, MPNs and SKUs to support internal validation. Maintain manual data mapping of key attributes and production of manual reporting. Manage retailer supplier systems (i.e. submit item shares and follow up with licensee approvals). Identify, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources to audit current POS coverage. Licensee POS/royalty statements, key retail account data, NPD, etc. Monitor sell-in and sell-thru performance from internal point-of-sale business data. Review with local sales teams and accounts to ensure optimal data coverage. Weekly data acquisition, processing, and data cleansing.
2. Manage assigned customer portfolios by analyzing, resolving all variances, and compiling a list of necessary adjustments with backup documentation. Support collections process in such a way to help meet or exceed established monthly and yearly collection goals through timely invoice resolution and directing cash applications. Communicate discrepancies and coordinates any corrections needed with internal teams. Provide updates to senior leadership on payments. Communicate complex issues and effectively handle difficult customer invoicing requests to maximize productivity, payment resolution and effectiveness.
3. Identify and facilitate resolution with customers for non-payment and providing guidance on complex issues for problem resolution including short-pay, credits, and open invoices. Follow up with customers regarding past-due payments. Assist with incoming customer payment allocation requests. Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances. Ensure that collections targets are met or exceeded monthly. Preparing the statement of accounts for customers and regularly following up for payments. Build effective global working relationships with internal and external clients, including BPOs.
4. Maintain contact information and customer specific instructions for accounts in portfolio and assist with invoice delivery as needed. Initiate customer refund requests. Follow-up on remittances with customers and understanding of adjustments in payments like withholding tax and foreign tax exchange issues. Create and analyze AR aging reports. Address payment issues like double payments or other discrepancies. Identify and facilitate improvements in the A/R processes through technology or procedural improvements. Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits.

Qualifications & Experiences:

1. Fluent in English.
2. 1 to 3 years’ experience in Account Receivables reconciliations/Collections.
3. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field is preferred.
4. Quick problem solver, team player, good time management skills.
5. Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
6. Experience in SAP ERP preferred.
7. Great organizational and interpersonal skills.
8. High level of analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
9. Complete understanding of the Order to Cash process.
10. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint).
11. Ability to work independently, creatively, and efficiently.
12. Proven track record in meeting deadlines.

Not Required but preferred experience:

1. Experience in the Media Industry and/or Media Sales is preferred.
