The ideal candidate has strong analytical and quantitative skills, fluent Spanish communication, and a background in economics, finance or engineering with at least four years of market analysis experience. English is a plus.

About the Role

Our client, a significant entity within the Energía sector, is seeking a meticulous and analytical Market Analyst specializing in Fuels and Energy to join our team in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes . This role is vital for monitoring and interpreting market dynamics, pricing trends, and regulatory developments across various energy commodities, including oil, natural gas, and electricity. You will provide critical insights to support strategic planning, trading decisions, and risk management efforts. This position requires a sharp intellect, strong analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of energy markets.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze global and regional energy markets, focusing on supply, demand, pricing, and geopolitical factors affecting fuels and electricity. Develop short-term and long-term market forecasts for key energy commodities. Analyze the impact of regulatory changes, government policies, and technological advancements on energy markets. Prepare regular market reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for senior management and relevant departments. Utilize market data and analytical tools to identify trading opportunities and risks. Collaborate with trading, business development, and risk management teams to provide market intelligence. Maintain and update databases of market information, prices, and historical data. Develop and refine analytical models to assess market trends and predict price movements. Track competitor activities and market strategies. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all market data and analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in market analysis, preferably within the energy or commodities sector. Strong understanding of the dynamics of oil, natural gas, and electricity markets. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, statistical software, market data platforms like Bloomberg or Refinitiv). Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly and concisely. Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish. Knowledge of English is a plus. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively. Proactive and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
