Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

This role is responsible for performing monthly closing activities to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements and sector reports. It also covers the preparation of specific reports in accordance with PepsiCo reporting rules and maintains an effective control environment. The role involves interaction with the business units’ control teams and outsourced delivery teams.

Your Impact:

As Control & Rpt Accountant, your functions would include:

  • Support with the timely and accurate preparation of US GAAP financial statements, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and OCF as applicable.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reports to the Sector Control Team of designated business units.
  • Participate in short and long-term Cash Flow Planning in HFM and prepare monthly variance analysis and reports to the sector team.
  • Perform journal entries, reconciliation, accruals, and reserves to ensure the accuracy of financial statements during month-end closing.
  • Handle Fixed Asset Accounting and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, identify and investigate variances, and ensure they are resolved timely, keeping track of account clearing/maintenance.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts, analyze out-of-balance intercompany transactions, and coordinate with counterparties.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly Balance Sheet Review content.
  • Communicate any issues promptly to the Team Lead.
  • Maintain financial controls by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and PGCS requirements.
  • Support and provide input/deliverables for corporate audits as well as external US-GAAP and statutory audits.
  • Prepare tax-related reports, including tax packages, CbCr Reporting, and calculation of deferred taxes.
  • Act as backup for the retained organization based on prior alignment.
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Education

Financial technical skills achieved through experience or accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent degree.

Experience

  • At least 2+ years of work experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • US GAAP knowledge is desirable.
  • SAP and HFM/FDM experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PPT).
  • Ability to work well within a virtual team environment.
  • Action and result-oriented, attentive to deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, quick learner, and self-motivated.
  • Strong ‘can-do’, ‘will-do’ attitude with a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.
