This position supports Binance’s anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory compliance efforts in Mexico and globally. As part of the compliance team, you'll be responsible for reporting, reviewing transactions, and supporting internal and external audits and regulatory obligations.
- Act as a point of contact for regulatory reporting to authorities.
- Produce AML documentation per Mexican regulatory and global compliance standards.
- Review and manage cases within service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Escalate suspicious activities to MLROs and team leads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AML reporting accuracy.
- Lead process improvements in KYC/KYB and enhanced due diligence (EDD).
- Stay updated on Mexican crypto/fintech laws and contribute to training initiatives.
- Support general administrative tasks relevant to AML/compliance workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field.
- 3–4+ years experience in AML compliance, audit, or regulatory affairs at:
- A government agency
- Or a crypto/fintech firm.
- Knowledge of Mexican legislation related to cryptocurrencies and fintech compliance.
- Understanding of the crypto ecosystem.
- Strong time management and self-motivation; able to work flexible hours.
- Experience with Excel; bonus if you know SQL, Python, or other analytics tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote international team.
- Are fluent in Mexican compliance law, especially in the crypto/fintech space.
- Have hands-on experience preparing and submitting suspicious activity reports (SARs).
