Flex is seeking a Commodity Manager Mechanical in Guadalajara, North Campus, to lead packaging sourcing strategies across the Americas. You will manage suppliers, negotiate terms, drive cost reductions, and support engineering and operations to balance protection, cost, and sustainability.

The role requires strong commercial judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and bilingual English/Spanish skills; willingness to travel within the Americas is preferred.

Formación

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience in packaging sourcing, commodity management, or supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement Americas packaging sourcing strategies.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers across Mexico and the Americas.
• Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, rebates, terms, tooling, and capacity.
• Drive cost reduction through sourcing, analysis, and standardization.
• Support quotations, new-product introductions, and supplier selections.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on packaging design and value engineering.
• Monitor market conditions and supplier risk; lead issue resolution.
• Improve supplier performance and regional supply base resilience.
