ALTEN Mexico is seeking a Body Design & Release Engineer to lead the design, development, timing and production release of Body Restraints components like Side Airbags, Curtain Airbags and Seatbelt systems.

Based in Toluca / Santa Fe, Mexico City / Querétaro (Toluca focus), you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate interior system design and continuous improvement of release processes.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive Body Restraints components.
• CATIA V5/3DX or NX for 3D/2D model review.
• PLM (Teamcenter) for documentation and release management.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Manufacturing processes.
• PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management.
• Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication).

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Body Design & Release Engineer to join our team. As a Body Design & Release Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of Restraints components and systems such as Side Airbags, Curtain Airbags and Seatbelt systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate design and development of interior systems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design and release processes.

The area we are seeking currently to cover are:

Body Restraints / Side Airbags, Curtain Airbags and Seatbelt systems

Location: Toluca / Santa Fe, Mexico City / Querétaro
Experience Level: 3-5 years
English: B2–C1

Full-time | Engineering

Requirements

TheBody D&R Engineeris responsible for the component and system level design, development, validation, timing and production release of the following areas:

Restraints

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience: +3 years of experience related to reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive components (Body Restraints components).
• CATIA V5/3DX or NX (for 3D/2D model review).
• PLM (Teamcenter) (documentation and release management).

Knowledge:

• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Manufacturing processes
• PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management.

Language: Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.
• Knowledge of style freeze processes and theme evaluation.
• In-plant experience (tool tryouts, assembly, program launch).
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Leadership in technical decision-making.
• Ability to collaborate across suppliers, validation, manufacturing and purchasing.
