Job summary

Expeditors in Mexico (Jalisco region) seeks an Operations Manager to lead air import operations, optimize processes and ensure service excellence for our customers. You will drive team performance, align with compliance standards and deliver accurate financial reporting.

You will partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to improve efficiency, manage budgets and support growth within our district. Strong English and logistics knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• Global logistics industry knowledge
• Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
• Fluent in English
• Proven problem solving, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• 4 years of industry specific knowledge
• Industry relevant certifications and knowledge (i.e. Iata, Dangerous Goods, TSA, IACSSP)

Responsibilities

• Review and manage day-to-day quotations
• Support product with local charges and quotes to minimize branch losses
• Know the Air product including Operations Overview, Breakbulk, Gateway & Pricing
• Plan and support huddles and monthly market intelligence meetings
• Assist in the transition of new business/updates to existing business
• Assist Manager to grow department Revenue in line with district budget and management expectations
• Maintain relationships with vendors and Trade Compliance to support compliance efforts
• Suggest system/process improvements and drive KPI performance
