Job summary

HSBC seeks a Solution Architect – Artificial Intelligence to design and guide delivery of secure, resilient technology solutions within an agile product backlog. You will lead technical directions, align with HSBC’s strategy, and support responsible AI adoption across pod teams.

The role requires strong solution architecture, AI/ML fundamentals, and experience with AI tooling, security controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Translate business requirements into practical technology designs.
• Familiar with AI/ML fundamentals including prompting, embeddings and RAG.
• Knowledge of AI security, privacy, bias, explainability and compliance.
• Experience with AI model APIs and vector search technologies.
• Understanding of MLOps/LLMOps practices and model governance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain solution designs for products and backlog stories.
• Provide technical leadership within the pod and guide engineering, QA, DevOps, data and security.
• Evaluate and incorporate AI capabilities and guardrails into solutions.
• Identify architectural risks and trade-offs for resilience, security, cost and latency.
• Embed AI testing, monitoring, and responsible use practices in SDLC.
