Job summary

Félix is hiring a Data Engineering Manager to lead the core data engineering squad and the DBA team. You will oversee infrastructure programs, balance hands-on work with leadership, and champion AI-powered automation in a GCP-native environment.

You will guide streaming and batch data solutions using BigQuery, DBT, and Apache Flink or Dataflow, ensuring data quality and alignment with business goals while supporting a remote-to-hybrid work model.

Qualifications

Hands-on builder mindset with code and leadership experience.
Strong Google Cloud Platform background, especially BigQuery.
Practical dbt and real-time streaming with Flink or Dataflow.
AI-native mindset with automation and tooling experience.
Experience managing a relational DBA team without doing daily DBA work.
Rigorous attention to architecture, governance, and documentation.
Excellent communication and advanced English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead data engineering and DBA teams to deliver scalable data platforms.
Drive infrastructure projects across streaming and batch with GCP, BigQuery, DBT, Flink.
Champion AI-first approaches to pipelines and platform ops.
Ensure data quality, observability, and cost optimization.
Align data pipelines with business goals and product priorities.
