Job summary

Tonder is building payments infrastructure for Latin America. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to own, automate, and continuously improve our systems in production. Join us to drive reliability, observability, and scalable deployments with AI-assisted automation.

You will focus on end-to-end ownership from implementation to production stability, leveraging AWS, IaC, and automation to reduce manual toil and accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience operating production infrastructure on AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with high-availability and high-throughput systems.
• Ability to debug complex production and infrastructure issues.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, reliability, and scalability.
• Advanced use of AI coding and automation tools as part of your daily workflow.
• High ownership, urgency, and the ability to go beyond the task assigned to solve the broader problem.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, alerting, and production reliability.
• Build AI-driven automation for deployments, infrastructure operations, incident detection, diagnosis, and repetitive DevOps workflows.
• Drive infrastructure projects end-to-end, including rollout, validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Improve deployment safety, recovery processes, scalability, redundancy, and infrastructure performance.
• Turn recurring incidents and manual operational work into automated systems.
• Proactively identify reliability risks and infrastructure bottlenecks before they become incidents.
