Job Description
The Agile Lead is responsible for collaborating with the product owner to align scheduling of activities with broader programme, epic, and release requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Communicate effectively in advanced intermediate English (spoken and written).
- Manage budgets, including actuals, forecasts, and error correction.
- Handle capture management in Clarity, correct errors, and manage at least two PODs simultaneously without delays.
- Understand the RAGS associated with features or projects.
- Facilitate the team to self-organise and promote continuous improvement aligned with the product roadmap and customer expectations.
- Provide coaching and leadership to enable Agile delivery, including facilitating team meetings such as retrospectives, reviews, and planning sessions.
- Protect the team from interruptions during sprints to ensure Agile processes are maintained.
- Support Agile principles through relevant practices, ensuring they remain effective and not 'stale.'
- Coach the team in Agile practices like standups, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring adherence.
- Facilitate Agile and team events as agreed with the team.
- Create a safe working environment where team members can raise impediments.
- Remove impediments to optimise team throughput.
- Work closely with the Product Owner and Business Analyst to re-prioritise the backlog as scope changes or issues arise.
- Facilitate raising risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating as needed through the Project Manager.
- Assist the team in updating physical and electronic progress boards.
Requirements:
- Subject matter expertise in agile methods, frameworks, and tailoring them for engineering teams delivering technology solutions.
- Educate employees at all levels, including senior management, on Agile principles and tools for implementing Disciplined Agile.
- Provide training sessions and teach skills to promote organisation-wide Agile adoption.
- Guide teams in Agile methodology, provide feedback, and foster organisational growth.
