Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Mexicali, MX, seeks a Product Quality Engineer to strengthen reliability and conformance of our aerospace products. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement quality systems, drive proactive strategies, and lead improvements using Lean Six Sigma, RCCA, and UPPAP methodologies.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronic Engineering and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in related field.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and SAP domain.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.
• Explain testing plans, methods and technologies to assure reliability and conformance.
• Analyze nonconformities and recommend corrective actions for internal products & processes.
• Utilize UPPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans) to identify risk and propose solutions.
• Review documentation to ensure PPAP and change management requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain quality control systems for materials in production.
• Collaborate with design/specification teams to devise testing plans and ensure product reliability.
