Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Aerospace Mexico (B.A.M) seeks a seasoned Materials/Mechanical Engineer to lead materials evaluation, drawings reviews, and process improvements for aircraft components. You will collaborate with designers, engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and corporate guidelines.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, problem solving, and cross-functional teamwork in a high-pressure environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Materials, Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• At least 6 years in aerospace/military production.
• Thorough knowledge of aerospace materials and hardware.
• Proficient in Catia V5.
• Knowledge of SAE/AMS/MIL specs.
• Strong English communication; French a plus.
• Experience reviewing drawings.
• Ability to work under high pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical engineering guidance to designers and engineers on applications, properties and processing of aircraft materials and hardware.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, change documentation, certification plans and release documentation.
• Evaluate metallic materials, their processes and limitations.
• Prepare test plans, analyze results and write certification reports.
• Participate in design reviews with product development teams.
• Review production process documents and approve recommended changes.
• Adhere to Bombardier manuals and standard practices.
• Support R&D projects to improve environmental footprint.
• Mentor junior and intermediate team members.
