Belcan in Querétaro, México, seeks an Experienced Aerospace Lead Design Engineer to drive mechanical design of engine components through development, validation, and production support. You will translate requirements into practical designs, perform analyses, and collaborate with design, stress, materials, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and test teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
• Five or more years of engineering experience in aircraft engine, turbomachinery, aerospace, or other regulated mechanical products.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, strength, stress, and structural concepts.
• Experience with GD&T, drawings, tolerance stack-ups, and dimensional requirements.
• Experience with aerospace mechanical design and/or analysis, preferably engine externals.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and inspection processes (machining, casting, forging, sheet metal, welding, composites, assembly).
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, and design/process improvement.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements, drawings, and inspection data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work with evolving information.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and evaluate mechanical designs for aircraft engine components and systems.
• Support the full product development cycle from concept to maturity.
• Evaluate design concepts for durability, weight, producibility, cost, and maintainability.
• Perform mechanical analyses and hand calculations (static strength, fatigue, thermal effects).
• Evaluate interfaces, fits, tolerances, joints, and assembly conditions.
• Apply GD&T principles and tolerance stack-ups.
• Select materials and manufacturing processes based on performance and cost.
• Incorporate manufacturing and inspection requirements into drawings and specs.
• Support RCA, nonconformances, and field/service findings.
• Generate and review documentation, including drawings, reports, and design reviews.
• Communicate technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track progress and manage risks to meet quality and schedule goals.
