Job summary

BOSC is seeking an automation software engineer to develop, validate, and commission PLC and automation software for manufacturing and special machinery projects. You will own software deliverables, work across cross-functional and international teams, and ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering standards, and project milestones.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or related field and 3+ years in industrial automation with PLCs.

Job Description

Responsible for the development, implementation, validation, and commissioning of automation software for manufacturing and special machine projects. Acts as the technical owner of software deliverables while supporting project coordination activities, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, engineering standards, quality processes, and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Programming

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain PLC and automation software according to project specifications and Bosch standards.
• Participate in concept reviews, electrical design reviews, and definition of automation solutions.
• Define I/O structures, communication interfaces, machine sequences, and software architectures.
• Perform software validation, functional testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support machine acceptance, pre-acceptance, and customer buy-off activities.
• Manage software version control, backups, and project documentation.
• Support MES integrations, communication networks, and digital manufacturing solutions when applicable.
• Track and resolve software-related issues and open points throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.

Technical Skills

• PLC Programming Beckhoff,Allen-Bradley, Siemens.
• Industrial automation systems and machine control concepts.
• HMI and SCADA development.
• Electrical schematics interpretation.
• Software troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Version control and software documentation practices.
• Knowledge of MES integration and Industry 4.0 concepts is a plus.
