A law firm seeks an experienced Administrative & Legal Assistant to manage client consultations and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, and strong communication skills in English. This full-time role is onsite in Mérida, Yucatán with a focus on detail and organization.

Formación

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience and 1 year in a legal environment.

Position: Administrative & Legal Assistant

Location: Onsite

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm Arizona Time

Salary: $21,500 pesos mxn brutos

About Us

We are a dynamic and client-focused law firm seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative & Legal Assistant to join our team. This role is primarily administrative, with opportunities to support light legal tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable communicating professionally with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

• Manage consultation requests from the firm’s website and incoming emails, promptly contacting potential clients and scheduling appointments on attorneys’ calendars.

• Act as a point of contact for clients regarding non-legal matters, such as document requests and general inquiries.

• Save and organize incoming client documents in the appropriate case files.

• Process simple payments and track disbursements to referral firms.

• Draft and send basic correspondence, such as referral letters, to other attorneys.

Light Legal Support (Preferred but Not Required)

• Send documents for electronic signature.

• Prepare initial drafts of contracts using templates by inputting party names and basic details.

• Assist with simple court filings when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of administrative experience and at least 1 year of experience in a legal environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (professional tone and clarity required).

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized digital files.

• Experience with practice management software (Clio or similar) is a strong plus.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
