Ruhrpumpen is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Design Engineer in Monterrey to lead end-to-end design of sand molds and cores for centrifugal pump castings on the ExOne S-Max binder jet printer. You will run solidification simulations, partner with foundry teams, and continuously improve casting yield and quality.

Qualifications include a Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Engineering degree and at least 2 years in foundry or related roles.

Formación

• Design 3D sand molds and cores for binder jet AM.
• Run solidification simulations and optimize casting yield.
• Collaborate with foundry teams and external partners.
• Develop detailed design sheets for molding and pouring.
• Evaluate feeding and gating designs prior to printing.

Responsabilidades

• Review dispatch list to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Design 3D sand molds and cores for binder jet AM.
• Create design sheets to support pouring and assembly.
• Calculate feeding and gating systems ahead of simulations.
• Run casting solidification simulations for castability.
• Collect feedback to improve yield and refine parameters.
• Optimize mold/core designs to maximize printer volume.
• Track and implement engineering changes to 3D models.
• Assist Process Engineer with print prep and maintenance.
• Review lab results to improve machine recipes.
• Explore supplier base for silica sand, resins, and additives.
