Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist in our Matamoros facility. You will handle high-volume invoice processing, match invoices to POs, ensure proper ledger posting, and manage timely payments to maximize discounts.

You’ll also perform AP subledger reconciliations and support costing and general ledger activities. We value accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience.
• Advanced organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Accuracy, proficiency, and dependability are a must.
• Microsoft Office - Advanced.
• Must have the ability to motivate and communicate effectively with other members of the team.
• Knowledgeable with Glovia a plus.
• Highly developed analytical skills.
• Availability to work during weekends or holidays depending on the workload.
• Bilingual English-Spanish, and German advanced.

Responsabilidades

• High-volume entry of vendor invoices, matching of invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Ensure invoices are properly posted to correct general ledger account and period.
• Prepare vendor payments on a timely basis, according to terms to ensure that all discounts are taken.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and respond to inquiries.
• Perform AP subledger to ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and present statistical analysis supporting the costing and general ledger areas.
• Other responsibilities as needed.
• Participate in weekly inventory item cycle count in warehouse in P2, P3 or P4 storage locations as well as Vending machine Tool Crip Plant 4.
• Involve in scrap and shipping’s audits controls.
• Participate in Mexico costing items.
• Provide support to the general, tax, and cost accounting areas.
• Comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy, following the procedures and work instructions applicable to his/her activities for the participation in the established Objectives and Goals.

Objective / Purpose of the Function:

The individual in this position will be responsible for correctly processing invoices in a timely fashion. He/She will ensure proper matching of purchasing and receiving documents, proper distribution to general ledger expense accounts, timely and accurate payments that make full use of available discounts and proper filing and storage of records. Also, he/she will perform AP subledger to ledger reconciliations as well as costing and statistical financial analysis supporting the general ledger and any other Manufacturing reports or activities associated with the AP work in general.
