Role Summary
As an Accountant at Flowserve, you will play a critical role in analyzing financial data and preparing accurate financial reports. You will ensure compliance with US GAAP and support both daily operations and month-end close activities. This role also involves collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and maintain high-quality accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Participate actively in monthly closing activities and accounting processes in compliance with US GAAP.
  2. Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and analysis of balance sheet items.
  3. Generate and deliver accurate daily and monthly reports in collaboration with the General Accounting team.
  4. Assist with the preparation and documentation of SOX compliance controls.
  5. Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve issues related to fixed assets.
  6. Identify and help resolve challenges that may impact month-end close timelines.
  7. Support additional accounting tasks and ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing processes and priorities.
  • Team player with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
