Maersk is seeking a senior accounting/finance professional to lead risk and control activities within its Global Service Centers in Mexico. You will drive accounting and reporting processes, ensure IFRS compliance, and support board-ready financial packs.

With 7 years in accounting and 3–4 years in leadership, you will manage stakeholder expectations, influence process improvements, and contribute to global accounting initiatives across the organization.

Formación

• 7 years' experience in accounting and reporting.
• 3-4 years' experience in leadership roles.
• Certified Accountant or equivalent degree in finance and accounting (or alternate finance).
• Control Framework and IFRS experience (added advantage).
• Exposure to global accounting process, Audit, IFRS, and guidelines; Stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Risk and Control Environment. Responsible for ensuring a robust risk and control environment, including reporting and developing internal control processes. Performs analysis, including NOPAT, and reviews balance sheet reconciliations. Responsible for all periodic tax filings. Ensures that General Ledger accounting and Financial / Management Reporting is done in accordance with IFRS and APMM GAP. Statutory Accounting and Audit: Takes care of statutory accounting and provides responses to all audit-related queries. Board Pack Preparation Manages the preparation of Board Packs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Intermediate to Advanced English Level
• Required 7 years' experience in accounting and reporting
• 3-4 years' experience in leadership roles
• Certified Accountant or equivalent degree in finance and accounting (or alternate finance)
• Control Framework and IFRS experience (added advantage)
• Excellent working method, including: Proactive Analytical Innovative Structured Ability to adapt to high workload and unplanned activities Exposure to global accounting process, Audit, IFRS, and guidelines Stakeholder management and issue resolution
