Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking an accounting professional to join our team in Querétaro. You will consolidate financial statements, manage day-to-day accounting activities, and oversee fixed asset records with depreciation schedules.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting, with 2+ years in Mexican fixed assets, and strong Excel/data analysis skills. English communication is essential; you will collaborate across teams and ensure tax compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements from GL and departments.
• Manage day-to-day accounting: invoices, bank reconciliations, month-end closing.
• Record fixed asset transactions, updates, and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure depreciation and asset write-offs comply with Mexican regulations.
• Perform bookkeeping including GST/HST (per job scope) reporting and payroll.
• Develop and analyze financial reports with advanced spreadsheet functions.
• Maintain GL entries, records, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with tax filings for compliance with Mexican tax laws.
• Evaluate processes, find inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
• Support monthly/quarterly close and protect confidentiality of finances.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in General Accounting.
• At least 2 years of specialized experience with Mexican Fixed Assets accounting and regulations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Proven experience in accounting and financial reconciliation processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (intermediate to advanced proficiency is required).
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements by gathering, verifying, and analyzing data from the general ledger system and various departments.
• Manage day-to-day accounting processes including invoice entry, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing activities.
• Record and update all fixed asset transactions in the accounting system, including acquisitions, transfers, retirements, and adjustments, while ensuring proper depreciation schedules are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations regarding depreciation and asset write-offs for Mexican Fixed Assets.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks such as monthly accounting, GST/HST reporting, payroll processing, and related reconciliations.
• Develop and analyze financial reports through advanced spreadsheet functions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Maintain and update general ledger entries, manage records, and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation and completion of financial statements and tax returns for compilation engagements in compliance with Mexican tax laws.
• Evaluate internal accounting processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend procedural improvements for enhanced accuracy and workflow.
• Support the monthly or quarterly financial close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Safeguard the organization’s financial information by ensuring confidentiality at all times.
