Job Description
On this journey we’re all collaborating to create the best omni customer offer for our customers and as an Accounting Lead you will be a key player in making this happen in Mexico. Together with your team you will work on keeping the books correct and updated according to H&M group rules and local regulations maximizing the efficiency of all the accounting processes.
Main Accountabilities:
Financial Statements/ Financial Reporting
- Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Routines for fixed asset bookings and depreciation calculations
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and financial statements
- Initiate and carry out general ledger bookings
- Monitoring, analyze and work with reconciliations
- Work related to travel claims and pay in pay out
- Maintain contact with other accounting departments and functions within H&M
- Communicate with auditable external authorities
- Report to the group according to IFRS
- Establish monitoring routines for accounts receivables (reconciliations, recalculations and working papers)
- Report information required by the global accounting team
Taxes and Cash Flow
- Work in accordance with VAT & Corporate Tax & Withholding Tax rules
- Take part in liquidity planning and align with policies and initiatives of H&M
- Prepare and update cash flow weekly
- Ensure the tax declaration, payments and VAT
- Annual tax declaration
- Relationship with local banks
- Ensure tax refund processes
- Invoicing/Electronic Accounting Compliance
- Ensure Payroll payment
Team Leadership
- You lead your colleagues in the daily work, train when needed and develop your team in accordance with H&M guidelines and values
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting area (IFRS)
- Experience in external audits (Accounting firms as Deloitte, KPMG, E&Y, etc)
- Tax Update
- You are proactive and take ownership and responsibility for that the work is being done
- Service minded
- Ability to maintain a good network with other functions
- Explain and follow up administrative routines within Accounting to other functions
- Understand and meet the legal obligations regarding national laws and regulation
- Strong data management skills – analytical, structured, ability to synthesize information and draw conclusions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience managing a team
- Strong skills in MS Office, especially in Excel (Intermediate / advanced)
- Intermediate / advanced SAP knowledge
- Fluent in English
