Job summary

BMW Group in Mexico is seeking a seasoned General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team in San Luis Potosí. You will monitor GL processes, ensure accuracy of Balance Sheet and P&L, and drive monthly corporate reporting in line with IFRS, local GAAP, and BMW internal standards.

The role requires a public accounting degree, at least five years in ledger accounting and reporting, SAP expertise, and fluent business English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting.
• 5+ years of General Ledger Accounting and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and BMW internal requirements.
• Ability to prepare management reports for varied audiences.
• Experience with external audits.
• Knowledge of SAP system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate General Ledger processes.
• Own Balance Sheet, P&L, and monthly corporate reporting under IFRS and BMW rules.
• Implement projects in the assigned area of accountability.
• Handle ad-hoc requests for financial data and plant impact.
• Analyze and report results to management.
• Ensure closing deadlines, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
