Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner of choice, seeking a Cost Accountant in Guadalajara, Campus. The role reports to the Accounting Manager and focuses on maintaining accounting records and providing insights from financial data.

Responsibilities include reviewing P&L, validating variances, reconciling balance sheets, and supporting month-end close. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and strong English; BAAN V5 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure postings are per policy and procedures.
• Compare Actual with Forecast/Quote and research variances; prepare adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger/manual schedules and investigate variances.
• Review accounts periodically to identify potential risks and mitigations.
• Ensure timely, accurate book-close and reporting activities.
• Assist in forecast/budget preparation for related accounts.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve business/operational metrics.
• Be familiar with Controllers Handbook and RCTS requirements.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Cost Accountant located in Guadalajara, Campus.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Cost Accountant will in charge of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books. Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS
