Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

What your background should look like:
Account Manager Responsibilities Will Include the Following:
  1. Serve as the primary interface between the Customer and TE Connectivity.
  2. Work closely with OEM Sales and Engineering to develop engineered solutions utilizing TE's existing product portfolio and development capabilities.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the Customer to position TE as a strategic partner.
  4. Effectively communicate with all other team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth.
  5. Assess and qualify new business opportunities.
  6. Maintain a high level of awareness in regard to industry trends and competitive activity within the territory.
  7. Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies.
  8. Identify application areas where TE does not have a market-leading position and define account coverage and product requirements.
  9. Work with regional leaders to ensure they are supporting the Customer as necessary to become the preferred supplier.
  10. Responsible for understanding all aspects of the customer, including but not limited to: Available Market, Market Share, Customer's Business Objectives, Goals, and Technologies.
  11. Responsible and accountable for delivering the annual growth plans regarding the specific Customer as well as further defining the account-specific tactic under consideration of the Customer’s and TE’s strategies.
  12. Utilize data effectively, demonstrating proficiency in Excel, pivot tables, Salesforce, and SAP.
  13. Visit customer plants and manage escalations as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. BS degree in Engineering or BA/BBA with a focus in Business, Management or Marketing.
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical field sales.
  3. Sales/Engineering experience in the connector industry a plus.
  4. Experience working with MS Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  5. Must be willing and able to travel a minimum of 10 to 25% of the time.
  6. Proficiency in pivot tables (EXCEL), Salesforce, and SAP, data analytics.
  7. AUTOMOTIVE MARKET KNOWLEDGE.
