Softgic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (API) to design, develop, and support client-facing applications and services. You will own REST APIs, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and modern CI/CD pipelines in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of experience with enterprise apps, strong API design, and hands-on implementation of AI-powered or generative AI-enabled workflows. The role requires collaboration across global teams.

Formación

• 8–12 years of professional software development experience in enterprise apps.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (API) with extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices to join a team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting client-facing applications and services.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior engineer with strong enterprise software development experience, solid API and microservices expertise, and exposure to AI-powered applications, intelligent automation, or Generative AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable software features and services.
• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs.
• Develop enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Work with modern microservices-based architectures.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and peer programming.
• Translate customer and business requirements into technical designs.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on software design and architecture.
• Balance new feature development, defect resolution, and technical debt.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply API management concepts and work with tools such as APIM.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including story refinement.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Contribute to AI-powered applications, intelligent automation solutions, or Generative AI-enabled products.

Required Qualifications

• 8-12 years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.
• Strong professional experience with Spring Boot.

• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Solid experience with Microservices Architecture.
