ALTEN Mexico, líder en ingeniería, busca un ingeniero mecánico o eléctrico con experiencia en sistemas de iluminación automotriz, centrado en iluminación interior. El/la candidato/a ideal debe ser líder con mentalidad emprendedora y capacidad para influir y liderar sin autoridad formal.

Ubicación: México. Nivel de experiencia: 5+ años. Inglés: B2-C1. Se ofrece puesto a tiempo completo en ingeniería, con oportunidades de crecimiento y desarrollo profesional.

Qualifications

• Bachillerato en Ingeniería Mecánica o Eléctrica o equivalente.
• Experiencia en iluminación automotriz, con enfoque en interiores.
• Capacidad de liderazgo e influencia sin autoridad formal.
• Experiencia en gestión de programas y comunicación efectiva.

Responsabilités

• Contacto principal entre diseño, gestión de programa, ingeniería y manufactura para una o varias líneas de vehículos.
• Asegurar que los sistemas cumplen requisitos funcionales, costos, peso, tiempos y calidad.
• Liderar responsabilidades del sistema desde lanzamiento hasta fin de vida.
• Coordinar resolución de problemas en todas las áreas y fases del programa.
• Apoyar desarrollo de planta y estar presente en el equipo de lanzamiento.
• Definir y actualizar el plan de desarrollo del vehículo.
• Gestionar cambios de requisitos y DCRs con proveedores.
• Liderar actividades de garantía post-lanzamiento y VO.

We work directly with different industries including Automotive, Energy, Aeronautics, Banking & Insurance, Telecom & Multimedia, and Rail; offering services ranging from project design development to test/validation, programming, implementation, and manufacturing.

We are looking for a mechanical or electrical engineer with experience in automotive lighting systems, with a focus on interior lighting development. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to sell ideas to all and must be self-sufficient with ability to influence and lead others without formal authority.

Full-time | Engineering

Main responsibilities:

• Technical program management for one vehicle lines by being the key point of contact between the design team and all other functional areas such as vehicle program management, engineering departments and manufacturing.
• Responsible for ensuring that the systems meet all functional and performance requirements while meeting cost, weight, investment, timing, and quality objectives.
• Lead system responsibilities at any point from launch phase through end of life. Provide dedicated support of bulletin response which may include concept studies, initial packaging, cost and weight analysis, prototype procurement, supplier management, sourcing, tooling kickoff, validation, launch, program maintenance, change management, value optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate technical issue resolution pertaining to engineering and quality at all stages of the program and across all functional areas.
• Must support plant development and launch activities onsite as a visible member of the launch team representing respective function.
• Define, share, and update the vehicle development plan to guarantee the coherency of the vehicle behavior and the availability of the planned features at all stages.
• Release the Specification to all Suppliers and manage the Requirements Change Management process through Design Change Requests (DCR) to ensure the alignment of Requirements with Product Planning requests, bug fixes and feedback from Suppliers.
• Responsible for warranty performance post launch and lead activities at plant such as warranty table for all commodities under your umbrella to meet target.
• Responsible for leading activities for Value Optimization to meet established targets for each program by supporting teardown events, supplier VO meetings, processing ideas thru ILO process (0-4).

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Engineering experience with an emphasis on Interior components at either an OEM or supplier.
• General knowledge of tooling and manufacturing processes including molding, stamping, welding, brazing, machining, casting, and coatings.
• Strong leader with entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to sell ideas to all stakeholders.
• Proven capability in problem solving and root-causing.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic financial understanding with ability to maintain program budget.
• Proven experience in program management with the ability to set a timeline and execute at the required milestones.
• Requirements Management / Change Management basics.
• Must be able to lead and manage suppliers.
• Proven capability to develop parts/systems in co-design with third parties (Tier 1s).
• Ability to review and apply component and system Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis DFMEAs and DVP&Rs.
• Must be able to manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Experience in DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) proactive and/or reactive quality tools a plus.
• Ability and knowledge to create effective presentations.
• High level of experience with MS Office tools.
• Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Stellantis systems and/or products a plus.
• Some travel required to supplier and vehicle assembly plants in North America.

Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication).
