ALTEN Mexico is seeking a CAD Project Architect to lead vehicle packaging and systems concepts for advanced programs. You will guide cross-functional teams, translate objectives into technical requirements, and present concepts to management.

You will oversee gateway deliverables and packaging reports across the complete vehicle program. Required: 5+ years in vehicle engineering (Body-in-White, Electrical, Interior, Powertrain, Engine, or Chassis) and expertise in TeamCenter, NX CAD, and Vis

Formación

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or MBA) and 5+ years vehicle engineering experience.
• Experience in Body-in-White, Electrical, Interior Systems, Powertrain adaptations, Engine or Chassis.
• Expertise in TeamCenter, NX CAD and Vis Mockup with CAD data management skills.
• Excellent communication and MS Office skills.
• English: Intermediate-advanced (technical) required.

Responsabilidades

• Create and analyze alternative concepts, packaging, and system integration.

We work directly with different industries including Automotive, Energy, Aeronautics, Banking & Insurance, Telecom & Multimedia, and Rail; offering services ranging from project design development to test/validation, programming, implementation, and manufacturing.

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated CAD Project Architect to join our team. As a Programs Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing new vehicles which meet future regulatory requirements and customer competitive requirements. You will be responsible for vehicle architecture, vehicle packaging, initial systems concepts and component engineering design. In addition, the team resolves packaging and adaptation issues as the vehicles move toward production.

Full-time | Engineering

The Engineer will achieve tasks by leading an extended cross functional team to balance all requirements to achieve the most optimal solution.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Establishing physical and functional integration of vehicle systems and components during the program planning phase (concept to program approval).
• Translating strategic and functional objectives into technical requirements.
• Create and analyze alternative design concepts, packaging and integrating systems and components, and benchmarking of competitive vehicles.
• Presentation of design concepts to higher levels of management.
• Monitoring gateway deliverables and assessments.
• Tracking completion of:
• Clash reports
• Clearance reports
• Logbooks
• Packaging requirements
• Questioning and reviewing status across all vehicle zones.
• Acting as the primary packaging leadership function across the complete vehicle program.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and or MBA

• 5+ years of experience of vehicle engineering experience in one or more of the following areas: Body-in-White, Electrical, Interior Systems, Powertrain Adaptations, Engine Systems (Cooling, Fuel, Exhaust), or Chassis Systems.

• Expertise in TeamCenter, NX CAD Software & Vis Mockup with demonstrated skills to:
• Develop new corporate preproduction and manage production CAD data structures.
• Position and manipulate models, cut sections, analyze existing designs.
• Create and analyze alternative designs and integrate systems and components.
• Create specialized CAD sessions to support high level and detailed management reviews.
• Excellent communication skills to lead others to coordinate and resolve issues across all regions.
• Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Language: Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Broad vehicle knowledge.
• Ability to integrate stakeholder requirements into final vehicle design.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to productively manage change
