A leading company in manufacturing solutions is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee the development and implementation of automation solutions. The role involves improving manufacturing equipment efficiency and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.

Formación

  • 1 to 3 years of related experience; experience in similar roles preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary
Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the development, procurement, and implementation of off-the-shelf standard solutions and/or develop new standard automation solutions to support customer product manufacturing equipment needs.
  • Plan and lead hardware and software improvements of automated lines and off-the-shelf equipment, analyzing Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and other data. Communicate with stakeholders, including solution providers, for design, technical information, and specifications.
  • Lead and resolve complex technical problems and oversee equipment validation activities such as Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
  • Develop maintenance plans and oversee activities to achieve target performance. Be accountable for performance, maintenance, and OEE improvements for multiple machines within a value stream.
  • Support customer product roadmaps using Celestica Automation E2E processes and tools like User Requirement Specifications (URS), Design for Automation Assembly (DFAA), and PM workbook.
  • Drive problem-solving and corrective actions related to machine failures, speed loss, or quality issues.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering to ensure equipment meets manufacturing requirements statistically.

  • Extended periods of sitting and visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data may be required.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a mouse, calculator) are common.
  • Occasional travel may be needed.
