Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Kuwait City is seeking a protection systems professional for full-time on-site work in Kuwait. The role focuses on testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protection systems across substations up to 400 kV, with leadership of the protection team and coordination of field technicians.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 7+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in protection systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language.

Responsibilities

• Drive service sales and business development across assigned countries and market segments.
• Perform relay testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting at client substations.
• Coordinate and oversee substation technicians and electricians, serving as project manager and primary client contact.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and Hitachi Energy procedures.
• Provide documentation and handover to site operators and ensure manuals are available before handover.
