Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our protection systems team in Kuwait. You will lead relay testing, commissioning, and maintenance at substations, and coordinate field staff to deliver reliable protection solutions.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. English proficiency and familiarity with safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in testing/diagnostic equipment and interpreting electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection projects and coordinate substation field work.
• Perform relay testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate technicians and serve as primary customer contact.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide clear switching and energization procedures.
