Job summary

IHG in Kuwait seeks a results-driven sales professional to drive corporate and group business for its hotels. You will manage sales calls, respond to leads, negotiate optimum rates, and coordinate with operations to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.

You will develop market intelligence, build relationships with travel agents, planners, airlines, tour operators, and government accounts, and collaborate with regional teams to grow existing business and pursue new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Monitors competitors activities and assists in marketing intelligence
• Refers sales leads to appropriate personnel within the IHG
• Sells to new, existing and prospective customers, negotiating optimum rate
• Services existing business through management of account bases
• Sell all facets of the hotel
• Develops and maintains contact with business generators and planners
• Builds profile within local market through events attendance
• Conduct client interviews
• Entertain clients
• Travel to promote the hotel and develop potential business
• Maintain regular contact with IHG hotels in region
• Initiates and prepares tenders for business
