Job summary

V2X, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cyber Defense Sustainment Engineer to design, automate, maintain, and optimize defenses across networks and systems.

You will lead incident response, threat analysis, and open-source research while coordinating with IT and security teams to uphold compliance and performance. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570 certs, and hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• One year of related academic study may substitute for experience.
• Degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Engineering or related field preferred.
• DoD 8570.01M baseline and CE certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DCO applications for incident response and reporting.
• Manage IDS/IPS sensor grid and perimeter devices.
• Coordinate network operations and upgrades.
• Analyze cyber threat reports and recommend mitigations.
• Deliver cyber defense training and maintain documentation.
• Develop procedures to track network availability and performance.
• Use Splunk to monitor network performance and incidents.
• Prepare detailed network specifications and diagrams.
• Research and test new hardware/software for interoperability.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and management for incident response.
