Job summary

Yugen Technologies in Hawally, Kuwait, seeks an experienced Cloud Engineering Manager to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our cloud infrastructure and engineering operations. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes secure, scalable, cost-efficient cloud environments and technical leadership.

You will manage a team of cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure engineers, drive IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and cross-functional collaboration with software teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, or related fields.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge and tooling.
• Experience with Linux scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and secure infra practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure engineers.
• Design scalable, highly available, secure cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards.
• Manage multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Advance IaC practices with Terraform or equivalents.
• Lead CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation.
• Oversee container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and observability practices.
• Focus on cloud security, IAM, network security, and data protection.
• Ensure service reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Lead incident response and post-incident improvements.
• Collaborate with software teams to improve cloud-native deployments.
• Set engineering standards, documentation, and procedures.
