Job summary

Armada Retail Concept in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team, focusing on end-to-end accounts payable, costing, and inventory valuation.

You will manage vendor invoices, POs and GRNs, and lead month-end activities while ensuring VAT/compliance and supporting audits. The role requires 5-6 years in AP/costing within FMCG or apparel retail and strong ERP skills (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics/NetSuite) with advanced Excel, in a Kuwait on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-6 years of AP and costing experience.
• Mandatory experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or apparel retail.
• Strong ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Strong knowledge of retail accounting, inventory valuation, landed costs, inventory aging, and multi-currency transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and supplier payment workflows.
• Develop and maintain accurate product cost sheets, including material, freight, customs, clearance, and handling costs.
• Analyze standard vs. actual costing and report monthly margin variances.
• Maintain ERP item masters, BOMs, and landed-cost templates.
• Validate vendor invoices against POs and GRNs.
• Manage domestic and international vendor payment cycles.
• Conduct vendor reconciliations and resolve pricing, tax, and volume discrepancies.
• Monitor AP aging and prepare weekly cash-flow forecasts.
• Lead month-end activities related to AP, accruals, and inventory valuation.
• Support internal/external audits and ensure compliance with VAT, customs, and financial controls.
