Job summary

Armada Retail Concept is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Kuwait. The role focuses on end-to-end accounts payable, costing, and financial controls to support retail operations.

You will manage multi-currency vendor payments, supervise month-end close, and collaborate with audits to ensure VAT and customs compliance. The ideal candidate has 5–6 years in AP and costing within FMCG or apparel retail and strong ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–6 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly AP and costing.
• Mandatory experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or apparel retail.
• Strong ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Strong knowledge of retail accounting, inventory valuation, landed costs, inventory aging, and multi-currency transactions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and supplier payment workflows.
• Develop and maintain accurate product cost sheets, including material, freight, customs, clearance, and handling costs.
• Analyze standard vs. actual costing and report monthly margin variances.
• Maintain ERP item masters, BOMs, and landed-cost templates.
• Validate vendor invoices against POs and GRNs.
• Manage domestic and international vendor payment cycles.
• Conduct vendor reconciliations and resolve pricing, tax, and volume discrepancies.
• Monitor AP aging and prepare weekly cash-flow forecasts.
• Lead month-end activities related to AP, accruals, and inventory valuation.
• Support internal/external audits and ensure compliance with applicable VAT, customs, and financial controls.
