Qualifications

• 10–12 years of accounting experience required.

• Knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP and tax regulations.
• Strong technical accounting background and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, tax regulations and company policies.
• Keep up to date with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records and timely financial information.
• Develop and monitor internal controls and procedures.
• Identify financial and operational risks and recommend controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Payroll and other departments for timely information.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee the company's accounting operations and financial reporting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing the general ledger, leading month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

The role requires a strong technical accounting background, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with management and various departments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and account reconciliations
• Lead and coordinate the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS and or GAAP, tax regulations, statutory requirements and company accounting policies
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards and relevant financial regulations
• Establish and maintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures and controls
• Ensure financial records are accurate, complete and maintained in accordance with company requirements
• Develop, maintain and monitor effective internal controls and accounting procedures
• Identify potential financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate controls
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Payroll and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information
