Job summary

Client of Career Hunters seeks a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring accurate records and compliant closing processes. The role requires leading month-end and year-end activities and maintaining internal controls.

Ideal candidates have 10–12 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge with a technical accounting background.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP and tax regulations.
• Strong technical accounting background and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, tax regulations and company policies.
• Keep up to date with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records and timely financial information.
• Develop and monitor internal controls and procedures.
• Identify financial and operational risks and recommend controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Payroll and other departments for timely information.
