Job summary

SMC International Placement is seeking a Rotating Equipment Foreman to supervise maintenance, installation, and repair of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors at our Kuwait site.

You will lead technicians and coordinate cross-discipline teams, ensure safe use of tools, ensure activity alignment with schedule, and prepare daily reports on equipment status and maintenance progress.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret equipment drawings, manuals, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures.
• Inspect equipment condition and identify mechanical faults, vibration, leakage, overheating, and abnormal noise.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams during maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper use of tools, lifting equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Prepare daily work reports and maintenance records.

Rotating Equipment Foreman Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance, installation, and repair activities for rotating equipment.


• Lead technicians, fitters, and helpers and allocate daily work activities.


• Handle equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, gearboxes, and motors.


• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, coupling, bearing replacement, and mechanical assembly.


• Read and interpret equipment drawings, manuals, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures.


• Inspect equipment condition and identify mechanical faults, vibration, leakage, overheating, and abnormal noise.


• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams during maintenance activities.


• Ensure correct use of tools, lifting equipment, and measuring instruments.


• Monitor work progress and ensure activities are completed according to the planned schedule.


• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PTW, LOTO, and site safety requirements.


• Check the quality of completed work and ensure equipment is ready for testing and commissioning.


• Prepare daily work reports, manpower records, equipment status, and maintenance reports.


• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors for troubleshooting and major repair activities.


• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the work site.
