Who you are and responsibilities

• Experience in environmental issues in design, construction, or operation of landfill installations, including handling permits for plants, utilities, water treatment, wastewater treatment, petrochemicals, oilfield production and related hazardous disposals.
• Capable of assisting/preparing Environmental Impact Assessment, conceptual site Modelling, Environmental Control for projects and ensuring compliance during all stages of the Project.
• Prepare and present to clients technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets.
• Maintain regular communication with clients through verbal and written correspondence, including presentations.
• Responsible for interpreting environmental regulations and investigation results to meet the clients’ requirements.
• Responsible for quality assurance—using the provisions and guidelines of the quality assurance system relevant to the Contaminated Sites Group.
• Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the Contaminated Sites Group, following occupational health and safety procedures.
• Possess a degree from an accredited university; this is an essential contractual requirement.
• Have minimum work experience post qualification within the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry with exposure to heavy oil projects; environmental project experience preferred.
• Have a minimum of post‑graduate work experience in a related designation/specialty within a GCC country (Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates).
• Experience working with remediation technologies for oil‑contaminated soil.
• Must have experience developing strategies for remediation programmes and the ability to interact effectively with people of all nationalities and cultures while using clear, fluent, and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas; an individual with excellent communication and people skills, and a consummate developer of long‑term sustainable relationships.
• Will be willing to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business and as deemed necessary by the Worley management.
