Four Seasons Kuwait is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to lead the pastry operation within our luxury hotel.

You will craft desserts, manage a talented pastry team, and ensure flawless presentation across all outlets. The role demands creativity, attention to detail, and excellence in guest experiences, with opportunities for growth and professional development within a world-class hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Creativity and strong cooking abilities are essential.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within a five-star luxury hotel.
• Culinary diploma/degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of all pastry items.
• Control labor and operating expenses through effective organization and inventory control.
• Ensure sanitation standards and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management to meet operational needs.
• Work professionally and collaboratively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Manage recipe costing and develop spreadsheets to improve efficiency.
• Conduct frequent quality checks to maintain pastry standards.
• Inspire and motivate the pastry team and lead team-building activities.
• Adapt to different shifts and areas in the pastry kitchen to grow within the organization.

What You Will Do

• Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of all food items.
• Control labor and operating expenses through effective organization, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management to meet operational needs; attend regular meetings to ensure departmental coordination.
• Work professionally and collaboratively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Manage recipe costing, create pickup charts, and develop spreadsheets to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct frequent quality checks to maintain food standards.
• Inspire and motivate the pastry team, leading team-building activities and demonstrating skills on the floor.
• Adapt to different shifts and areas in the pastry kitchen to meet business needs and grow within the organization.

What You Bring

• Creativity, innovative ideas, strong cooking, organizational skills, and people-management abilities.
• Culinary diploma/degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within a five-star luxury hotel.
